Time for a new postie here. Ahhh this is a better color. Baba-ji says hi to everyone - he's quite a talker especially at 5:30 am. Ahem! Wow there are some cool colors here. I don't have a whole lot to say, obviously. Getting ready for Phoenix and warmth. Pedicure tomorrow - you know you can't go there with ratty looking feet. Time to stop ...

Well, I am back from Durham and about ready to leave for Phoenix. "Hooked on Phoenix!" Should be in the 90's. Here 's a picture from Durham where I had a great time with Betsy and Christian.

Here are Grandma and I celebrating B & C's birthdays. They had the best french fries.

Going with my Mom again....we are becoming traveling regulars. You should see her hotrodding across the airport in the wheelchair! Sure gets us through all the lines fast.

My "Resting" piece got in the exhibit!

I am so excited! My piece was accepted into an online art exhibit at www.ecva.org .

Post Artfest

Sometimes learning how to do this blog really sucks!
I already wrote about Artfest and saved it as a draft and then couldn't figure out how to publish it on my site so I am all out of writing juice.

Anyway, here is a photo (I hope) of some of my cute little hog gut class things. I also made a "satchel" (which I still don't care for) and learned how to work with mica sheets. Everyone made really cool stuff. Next year I will be more relaxed...I was pretty mental as an Artfest virgin this year. I am happily doing more sketching of my naked people figures and loving it!

Grandmothers flower garden quilt

Here's a picture of the quilt I just finished after...(?)years? The thing is huge! Bought the top already hand sewn at a grage sale up at the cabin for $12.00. Such a deal.

ARTFEST

Here is a picture (I hope) of my poor carnivorous plants enjoying some of our beautiful spring weather lately. Snoq three nights in a row! Rats - wouldn't upload.
Today I am going to Artfest in exactly one hour and six minutes- I am a "newbie" which is a position I don't personally like to be in. I'd rather be an "old hand". But I guess we all have to be new at things or else stand still.
My first class is one using hog gut to make jewelry - bet you can't wait to get your Christmas presents from me this year!! Then I will learn how to make a cute, satchelly thing, and lastly a class using mica to make a wall hanging. Show and tell will be good after this.
